IGNITE Institute joins Scientific Workshop on Quantum Tech for Defense and Military.

On December 24, 2025, in Hanoi, the Military Technical Academy hosted a scientific conference titled “Quantum Technology and Its Potential Applications in Military and National Defense”, chaired by Lieutenant General, Prof. Dr. Lê Minh Thái – President of the Academy.

The conference brought together leading scientists and experts from the Institute of Technology and Education for New Generative Intelligence (IGNITE), the Institute of Quantum Technology – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Phenikaa University, the Institute of Military Science and Technology, the Academy of Cryptography Techniques, along with a large number of officers and lecturers from the Military Technical Academy.

At the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Ái Việt – Director of the IGNITE Institute delivered an important keynote address, clarifying the scientific foundations of quantum technology, its core principles related to information and physical reality, and analyzing the strategic significance of quantum technology for security and national defense—particularly in the areas of cryptography, information security, sensing, navigation, and intelligent command-and-control systems.

The conference served as an important academic forum, contributing to shaping an approach to quantum technology based on a clear understanding of its fundamentals, focused prioritization, and strengthened cooperation in research and training, toward building modern defense science and technology capabilities.
