Shaping National AI Strategy and Data Architecture: Foundation for the Digital Era

At the workshop "National, Organizational, and Enterprise AI Strategy and Data Architecture (ASDA1)" held on September 10, 2025, experts, scientists, and businesses discussed the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and data in digital economy development. These two factors are considered pillars, decisive to Vietnam's digital transformation efficiency and competitiveness.

AI is becoming increasingly prevalent and plays a crucial role in many areas of life, from production and business to public administration. Therefore, the issue of data governance and shaping AI development strategy is considered a key factor to ensure sustainable development. However, according to experts, AI and data currently lack a methodological system and a theoretical framework solid enough to guide applications in the right direction.

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Ai Viet, Director of the IGNITE Institute, stated that more than 70% of domestic technology enterprises are currently interested in, investing in research, and piloting AI. At the same time, the Government aims to make Vietnam a leading AI innovation hub in ASEAN by 2030. The data strategy and national data architecture framework aim to build data architecture for Ministries, sectors, localities, and enterprises.
