Data and AI Will Decide National Status

The workshop "National, Organizational, and Enterprise AI Strategy and Data Architecture – ASDA1" opened in Hanoi on the afternoon of September 10, 2025.

The program was co-organized by the IGNITE Institute, the National Data Association, and Hanoi Radio & Television, with the participation of over 100 delegates. Attendees included leaders from the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Assembly's Committee on Science, Technology and Environment, directors of 10 leading research institutes on AI and data, as well as technology experts and business leaders from both Vietnam and abroad.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ai Viet – Director of IGNITE Institute and member of the National Advisory Council shared: "AI data exists, but if we do not know how to arrange, plan, and coordinate sharing, the data has no value. If we know how to coordinate, it becomes power, money, and wealth for better social management. Data is the blood, the resource, and the new production material of the digital economy."

At the workshop, experts, scientists, and leaders posed major questions such as: How does the national AI strategy need to be adjusted in the face of the global technology explosion? Should Vietnam build a Large Language Model (LLM) for Vietnamese? And how can we overcome data fragmentation to form a synchronized national data architecture framework?
