IGNITE INSTITUTE CONDUCTS A FIELD SURVEY AT SIHUB

On June 17, 2026, a delegation from the IGNITE Institute conducted a working visit and field survey at the Ho Chi Minh City Startup and Innovation Hub (SIHUB) to gain insights into the practical implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐTW.

This activity was part of the second phase of the nationwide field survey program organized by the IGNITE Institute, covering government agencies, organizations, enterprises, universities, and innovation-supporting institutions across Vietnam. The program aims to document practical experiences in implementing policies and directives related to science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, while collecting information and data to support future research, assessment, and policy recommendations.

During the meeting, SIHUB representatives shared key achievements in supporting Ho Chi Minh City's startup and innovation ecosystem, including resource-connection initiatives, startup support programs, technology transfer activities, and the development of innovative business models. The two sides also discussed opportunities, challenges, and necessary conditions for enhancing the effectiveness of tasks carried out under the spirit of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐTW.

As part of the survey program, the IGNITE Institute delegation also explored SIHUB’s operational models, support mechanisms, and practical experiences in fostering local innovation. These insights provide valuable perspectives on the role of intermediary organizations in connecting stakeholders within the science, technology, and innovation ecosystem.

The meeting took place in an open, constructive, and collaborative atmosphere. Both sides exchanged practical ideas on strengthening linkages among government agencies, research institutions, enterprises, and innovation support organizations. They also shared recommendations for improving the implementation of policies and strategic initiatives in the context of digital transformation and knowledge-based economic development.

Through this survey activity, the IGNITE Institute continues to enrich its database of practical evidence to support research, evaluation, and policy advisory work. In the coming period, the Institute will expand its survey program to additional localities and organizations nationwide, contributing to the effective implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐTW, and supporting the development of a dynamic, sustainable ecosystem for science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.
