IGNITE INSTITUTE CONDUCTS A FACT-FINDING VISIT TO THE STATE AUDIT OFFICE OF VIETNAM ON THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 57-NQ/TW
On the afternoon of 26 June 2026, at the headquarters of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, a survey delegation from the IGNITE Institute, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Ai Viet (Director of the IGNITE Institute), held a working session with the leadership of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, together with representatives from a number of advisory units and specialized audit departments. The session aimed to document practical experience in implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐTW.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on outstanding achievements in applying science, technology, innovation and digital transformation to the audit activities of the State Audit Office of Vietnam, including: the deployment of big-data-based auditing; the application of artificial intelligence and modern data analytics tools; the development of information systems and audit databases; the design of new audit methodologies suitable for the digital environment; as well as the training and capacity-building of auditors to meet the requirements of digital transformation.

The two sides also discussed the role of the State Audit Office of Vietnam in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs, projects and tasks related to science and technology, as well as public investment in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation. This is a matter of significant importance, since the efficiency of state resources invested in this field is one of the key indicators for assessing the actual success of implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW.
Representatives of the State Audit Office of Vietnam shared the advantages, difficulties and obstacles encountered in carrying out the sector's digital transformation tasks, particularly regarding the legal framework, technological infrastructure, information safety and security, and the requirement to enhance digital capabilities for civil servants and auditors. On that basis, the two sides exchanged views and proposed a number of solutions to improve the effectiveness of implementing the tasks set out in Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW and Plan No. 01-KH/BCĐTW.
Through the working session, the IGNITE Institute gained further information and insights from the supreme audit institution of the State – a particularly valuable perspective from an agency that is both an implementer of digital transformation and an independent evaluator of the implementation of policies and programs on science, technology, innovation and digital transformation at the national level. The contributions from the State Audit Office of Vietnam serve as an important source of information, supporting research, assessment, and the formulation of recommendations to promote science, technology, innovation and digital transformation in the time ahead.
